Assalamualaikum,

one certain scholar said from Turkey said when someone has missed prayers he must not pray Nawaafil and the Sunnah prayers related to the Fardh prayers.

So when praying 4 Rak'aats Sunnah before the Fardh of Thuhr he must make intention of praying a missed Thuhr, and when paying the 2 Rak'aats Sunnah after Thuhr he must intend to pray a missed Fajr prayer, and with the other Sunnahs of the other Fardh's exactly the same.

Answer:

 Fatwaa no.  083/06

It is incorrect to read the missed Fardh Salaah in place of a Sunnah Salaah. One should consider a Sunnah as a Sunnah and read it in its time and place. His missed Fardh Salaah should be read separately.
