Question: can person A join person B during his Salaat, who already started his Salaat and consider it as congregation. Knowing person B who initially started praying was praying ALONE, but the Muqtadi arrived late not during the Iqaamah? Is the Jamaat valid?
Answer:
Fatwaa no. 032/07
This Jamaat will be valid on condition that Muqtadi makes intention of Iqtidaa (following the Imam). The imam does not have to make intention for the Imaamat to be correct.
