Question: Hello I just wanted to know if it is a Sunnah not to
dry your hands before eating dinner.
Answer: Fatwaa no. 080/07
Not drying your hands before eating will not be regarded as a Sunnah, due to no mention of it being made in the Ahaadith. It is however preferable not to dry your hands due to it being regarded as Mustahab in certain books on Fiqh. Drying the hands will in any case be permissible.
