Question: Assalamualaikum Mufti Saab,
Is the salwar kameez (khafni) a sunnat of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH? I was recently told at university that wearing a jubbah is Sunnat and the khafni was NOT.
However my Amir Saab once told me that the Prophet Muhammad PBUH owned a salwar kameez (khafni) which he received as a gift.
If the former is correct, would one be sinful for deeming the “khafni” an Islamic dress?
